The earth is crying out for healing, and we can answer her call most skillfully when we develop our own intimate relationship to the natural world. And that deep earth connection is also the foundation for our personal resilience.

Join Starhawk to learn spiritual and hands-on practices from five accomplished earth healers of varied traditions, including Charles Williams of Earth Activist training and three of our rising young indigenous teachers and allies: Mariah Masters, Sunshine Claymore and Kanyon Sayers-Rood.

Come away with new tools for your own earth healing practice, with inspiration and renewed energy for the struggles and the joys of the great work of our time – the regeneration of land and community.

Seeds of Hope & Renewal – a Ritual with Starhawk

Come and find hope with us!

This is the dark time of year, when winter closes in and sometimes it’s hard to keep the warm flames of hope alive. But the cold, dark ground is where seeds gestate and prepare to grow again. Some seeds can only sprout after enough coldness, roughness, fire, or other disturbance.

In these times when the great disturbance of climate meltdown impacts all of us, we come together to prepare for new growth in both practical and spiritual ways.

Join us for both spiritual and practical inspiration. In ritual, we’ll find our own deep sources of renewal, and we’ll ground our hope with actual examples of projects from our students and teachers, that regenerate ecosystems and put into practice the skills of earth healing.

Admission is by donation, proceeds go to support our diversity scholarship fund. Learn more and register here:

Youtube – A Brief History of Direct Action!

DA-YT31-Cop&Hippie

Direct action has a long and honored place in American history – from the revolution itself through abolitionists, suffragists, union organizers, civil rights advocates, feminist and gay rights activists, and on to today’s vibrant climate and social justice organizing.

Join author Luke Hauser for a profusely illustrated 25-minute journey through our past. We’ll focus especially on organizing from 1980 to the present, with sections on the 1980s anti-nuke movement and 2011’s Occupy actions.

Originally created around 2000, the show has been updated with a revised text and many new images. Co-created by Groundwork and Reclaiming Quarterly.

So make a big bowl of popcorn, pull up your beanbag chair, and get ready for a journey through our history!

Pagan Cluster – Ritual for Climate Justice

Several thousand Bay Area activists shut down the central financial district of San Francisco, known as Wall Street West.

The September 25 actions were part of international climate justice events, including the global student strike on September 20.

Reclaiming’s Bay Area Pagan Cluster – Witches Invoking Creative Climate Action, or WICCA – organized a ritual for mid-afternoon. We processed down California Street singing We Are the Rising Sun, then did a short Equinox ritual in the middle of the “mural district” of Montgomery Street, ending with a spiral dance to Our Hands Will Work for Peace and Justice (Harvest Chant).

Global Youth Strike for Climate Justice

Young people around the world rallied, struck, and took direct action for Climate Justice on Friday, September 20.

Anchored by the Sunrise Movement, Extinction Rebellion, and other groups, this day of action challenged people and governments to take action now.
